Our treatments include engraving, cutting, face mounting, color filling, blind varnishes, front decals and more. We make and ship SofiSan portfolios from our Maine studio "Moon Hours". The Moon Hours studio follows the artisan and high standard traditions of Made in Maine products.
Each portfolio comes with a custom made bag to keep the dust out.

We offer optional fine art printing on special archival papers. These papers are soft to the touch with the perfect weight and flexibility required to easily turn pages that lay flat. SofiSan custom printed pages are individually scored and do not use paper hinges.
Our specialty archival papers are sourced from European master mills and we use ICC profiles to match your colors. The pages can be printed on both sides and there is an option to use vellum interleaves.
Use our page hinges to insert your custom printed pages into a SofiSan Portfolio. The hinges adhere to the back of your printed page to allow you to insert them in your portfolio block without having to punch holes or score the original paper. The recommended paper weight is 90gsm or less.
We include all the hardware you need plus protective bumpers to prevent hardware damage during shipping. Some of our clients use these protective bumpers as a way to fill the spine when there only a few pages.
The screw post system allows you to easily add and remove pages as needed. The included post extensions allow you to expand the spine's width as your Portfolio grows.
Custom covers are made with premium materials such as Hard Maple, Bamboo, Aluminum and Acrylics.
