As a graphic designer and art director, I’ve created many websites for many clients. However, like many creative people, I’ve never had the time to create my own site, something I desperately needed to do. So when I heard about Foliolink and saw how clean and elegant their designs were, and how easy it was to create a website that reflected my own aesthetics, I immediately jumped on board. And I’ve been extremely happy with the results. The people at Foliolink are wonderful and helpful, and I love the look and functionality of my flash site. Finding Foliolink was such a relief for me. It’s been manna from Heaven. I’d recommend them to any busy creative in need of an online portfolio.
A writer, designer and creative on hundreds of commercials, Christopher spent the last 20 years working for ad agencies all over the world. Three years ago, he started christopherWILSONphotography. Since then, and much to his delight, he has worked constantly as a photographer. Before that, he was a ballet dancer. He danced 8 hours a day, survived on bread and coffee, looked like hell and broke his ankle twice. But he still insists it was fun. What an idiot. He has two daughters, Celia and Raney, by far the best things he has ever created. His wife, Cathy, lives in the center of his heart.

Foliolink has allowed me to concentrate on what I most like doing - shooting pictures ! It has given me a compelling and changeable web based gallery in which to exhibit my work. The ease and intuitive design has allowed me to show a greater amount of work in a much more streamlined website. As my work is forever evolving and changing so must my presentation and Foliolink has made that possible. The staff at Foliolink is great, they are always available to help with changes or questions and they truly make the whole process extremely simple and enjoyable.
Daniel began his photography career when he was just a wee lad at the knee of his grandfather. Photography has taken him to every corner of the globe and exposed him to some of the worlds greatest beauty. He now splits his time between NYC and the west coast. Daniel considers ALL work to be personal work and brings energy and enthusiasm to every shoot. When not shooting he can often be found at daybreak atop a surfboard paddling out to enjoy the oceans offerings. Daniel and his wife Rosie are also kept busy by their dynamically active six year old twin sons, Maxwell and Nicholas.

Against my better judgement and advice by everyone, I am trying to do everything. I am painting every day, keeping up with gallery business, managing two elementary kids agendas, and occasionally cooking passable dinners. Because time is tight, I avoided updating my extremely slow website for a long, long time. I knew each time I gave my URL out that somebody was eventually going to run up against a bad representation of what I do. Finally I asked a photo stylist friend who did his website and was ready to just dig deep to finally look good. I was really surprised when he told me his site was done by FolioLink. I assumed his site was custom because it fit perfectly with his work. So I toured the Foliolink website, saw all the designs, and was really excited that I could look more professional so easily. And the price was totally in my budget. When I set my site up, I essentially tried on several designs until I found a perfect one. When I had a few questions, support answered quickly. I no longer cringe when I give out my website address. Now if Foliolink can make website designs for dinners....
Lori Nelson grew up in the West but migrated with her young family to Brooklyn five years ago. She draws from the jumbled architecture of Brooklyn, the parched deserts of Utah, and the awkwardness of everyday life everywhere for her narrative paintings. In a sense, her scenarios are collages in their gathering and mashing up of the detritus of life so that, while not being precisely familiar to anybody, they end up being somehow relevant to many. Adding to this layered approach is her painting technique itself. Hundreds of thin, transparent layers of oil paint create a luminosity and depth reminiscent of the Old Masters although the color palette echos 1950s school book illustration. The paintings at first glance give off the impression of being sweet and lovely but upon further consideration something else entirely rises up, something like a pleasingly bitter aftertaste.

For all photographers and artists, exposure is essential. Allowing clients and agents to view an up to date website could appear daunting to any newcomers running to a budget and lacking friends in webdesign. Foliolink allowed me to achieve a form of presentation that looks impressive, whilst still maintaining an ease of navigation which has pleased many clients. With the numerous options of colour and layout, it was easy to create a design that suited my needs as a photographer.
On any assignment, be it commercial or fashion in nature, my intention is to bring a sense of personality and feeling to the project. Creating an image that engages the viewer on an emotional, as well as graphic level. Working to create the right ambient and circumstance to obtain such images is what I most enjoy about photography.

After years of maintaining a beast of a website I built and loathed updating, I found Foliolink. For me the wide range of design layouts and possibilities offered me the chance to have a beautiful, unassuming and easy to navigate website that best reflects the work I make. The reasons I stay with Foliolink: a great and easy to reach support staff, great security against image/copyright theft and – a bonus that caught me by surprise one day: Foliolink automatically reformats my site for optimal image viewing on my iTouch! It is like having a little portfolio in my pocket at all times.
My artwork is most influenced by material culture – often a veritable repository for the hidden histories of a society or individual outside of the mainstream. A recent series, Immobile Nature, explored the convergence of Western and Eastern visual cultures and world views in the 17th c. and the remarkable, if strange, hybrid artifacts. Regardless the specifics of a series, it is always about the meeting of forces for me; inside/outside, duality, transposition - and the gray areas. My creative process is an attempt to both deconstruct the visual cues and to connect the dots, whether in series that reflects my social concerns or quieter ones of personal introspection.

In this digital age there is no room in the commercial industry for amateur presentation. My website is a reflection of my work, and ultimately me. Foliolink has provided my business with a powerful marketing tool that enables the design flexibility necessary to display various sets of skills. I recommend Foliolink to every artist out there looking for professional web design that compliments every style.
I always told myself I would never get a 9-5 job and sit in a cubicle all day. Now I am a graphic artist and find it hard to peel myself off of the computer and call it a night. Having the opportunity to work for myself and get lost in my imagination is a true blessing. Whether I am taking photography to the next level or piecing together a creative composite, I find each and every project a rewarding experience and look forward to the next adventure

I used to have an old page of my work on the Internet and decided that I needed a bold new look. I searched, and to my delight came across FolioLink and knew immediatly that it was what I was looking for. I received quick and skillful responses from the staff for my doubts and questions. I am really glad that I have chosen Foliolink – it is the ideal company for the service and look that I need. FolioLink, for me, has been an angel from heaven in improving the appearance of my work online.
Arvizu’s work with premonition, the dream, enchantment, invocation etc. creates a sense of duality or ambiguity – but above all it inspires an appreciation of the rarity in the mundane. Drawing on postmodernism, Arvizu gives life to inorganic materials by depicting them in the natural and portrays a landscape in constant change. His work provides us an opportunity - it compels us to see painting beyond its usual formal spectacle. -Luis Carlos Emerich

Before I discovered FolioLink, I dreaded all the work that it took to keep my photo website current. FolioLink took the pain away. Now it is incredibly easy to maintain my site and to post my latest work. FolioLink website designs are numerous and beautiful, and it did not take long for me to discover the website that best represented the look and feel of my business.

I chose FolioLink.com after sampling two other website services. FolioLink website designs present my work clearly and professionally. My website receives constant complements from galleries and other artists. I have about 30 seconds to engage a viewer with my work. This site elegantly does the job. The staff at FolioLink patiently taught me how to manipulate my website to my own taste. They are attentive and delightful to work with. I now update my site within an hour of completing a piece. I am exponentially gaining exposure and have signed with one gallery while looking for more. FolioLink is the answer.
I am a visual archaeologist. My drawings and paintings combine unrelated images collected from my tropical surroundings and travels to tell stories. I am fascinated with the relationship between structure and spirit, fragments and whole, visible and invisible, presence and absence. The biggest complement I have received is: I can not stop looking at this! My goal is to engage you with a thought provoking composition of transitions between renderings. My influences are Lee Bontecou and Julia DArcy. I studied at SAIC-Chicago, Kansas University and have my BFA in Illustration from Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle. My work shows locally and has won numerous awards. I teach drawing at Coral Springs Museum of Art.

Since early in my career as a professional painter, I have had a Web site that was created by a web designer. While the design was great, I felt frustrated with not being able to go in and make changes on my own schedule — whenever I wanted, without being sent a bill. I was delighted with how easily and quickly I could get my Foliolink site up and running. Any problems or questions were answered quickly, so I could pull my whole site together within a few days. The best part of all of this is the reactions I have gotten from people in the art and graphic design business, telling my how wonderful my new site is! Thanks Foliolink!
Like the fantastic imagined landscapes she creates, Nancy Tobin has constructed her career in layers: varied but consistent in its commitment to form, technique and process. Her dedication to art-making started early, parlaying a degree in commercial art into a successful career as an award-winning graphic designer and children’s book illustrator. Since her move to the New York area she has had solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums across the country. In 2007, Tobin won the Brodsky Center for Innovative Print and Papermaking fellowship at Rutgers University. Her work has been acquired by numerous private and museum collections.

I can not imagine maintaining a website that is any easier to customize, and search engine optimization is effortless. Any questions I had about the site were quickly and expertly addressed by the friendly and patient staff at FolioLink. There are few things in my life that are unquestionably worth the money I spend, and my Foliolink site has been one of them.
Jeremy Mayer disassembles typewriters and then reassembles them into full-scale human figures. He does not solder, weld, or glue these assemblages together- the process is entirely cold assembly. He thinks of the typewriter as ....a product of nature- it was designed by minds immersed in nature around them, and mimicked the curves, geometry, and physical processes abounding in nature. Though it is cold metal created by human hands, the typewriter is just as much a natural material as stone or wood......He lives and works in Tahoe City, CA

My web site is the heart of my business marketing effort. It is more than just a place to park my portfolios...it is a reflection of me as an artist and as a businessman. I thought my needs could only be met by a custom web site and the substantial investment of time, energy and money that required. I was wrong. FolioLink has proven itself to be a far better solution. The intelligent design, creative flexibility, ease of updating and responsive support turned me from skeptic to believer very quickly. Switching to FolioLink feels like one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I searched for over a year for an artist-friendly website solution before finally settling with Foliolink. There is no other service that comes close to offering an intelligent, elegant, streamlined design and functionality of a website focused on showcasing and sharing art, with the value and support they offer. Reasonably priced and enough flexibility for easy customization that provides a professional marketing asset which can adapt to fit a clients needs, and evolve with your art.
Douglas Capron is an emerging photographer, visual artist and printmaker. Being recently invited to exhibit in Italy convinced him to focus full time on his passion. His varied work ranges from themes exploring nature and our environment to musicians, landscapes and portraiture. I started filming a documentary on Blues music 15 years ago. It opened the door to photographing musicians which inspired me to explore photography as an art form. My creative decisions are mostly unconventional and intuitive, responding to the unexpected. I hope my work conveys a feeling which travels beyond sentiment and graphic emotional impact, and sustains a subtle dialogue with the viewer. Douglas is currently working on a book of his photography based on his recent trip to Japan, scheduled for release in Spring, 2009.

I have been very happy with the speed and efficiency of getting my work up in such a beautiful online format at Foliolink. The staff member who helped me was wonderfully patient as she telephonically held my hand through new adventures in things like tweaking XML, and I watched my site blossom into something truly special. My work has NEVER looked this good online and as the web has grown into the primary interface between photography buyers and artists the power of this important first-impression is brought home to me every day. I have had several friends inquire already about moving their sites to Foliolink, a move I can heartily recommend.
Rick Olivier has been photographing the music and culture of New Orleans and South Louisiana since his high school days in the mid-70s. His earliest professional achievement was winning two Louisiana Press Association Awards for Feature Photography at the age of 16. He moved to New Orleans in 1982 and established himself as an acute observer of the local music scene and by the mid-Eighties had branched out into corporate, advertising, and editorial assignments for national magazines. His book, Zydeco! won the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities Book Of The Year Award. His music photographs have appeared on more than one hundred record covers and his portraits have twice graced the cover of the New York Times Magazine.

My Foliolink websiite has gotten a ton of positive feedback for the look of the website and the way it handles all the content! The surprising amount of user controlled custom features are a delight to use and what I couldn’t figure out myself the staff at Foliolink handled in a few emails! I checked out LiveBooks and a few other similar services but Foliolink has so much more to offer.
My work straddles the two worlds of assignment photography and self-assigned projects for sale in galleries as prints or programmed in limited edition, handmade artist books. I intend my website to appeal to the widest range of image professionals who must quickly realize that in the final analysis, it is a strong personal vision which counts the most! The images in the WORKPLACE and WORKFORCE portfolios are from a long term ( ‘99-’05) documentation of the former maritime/industrial area along the South-East San Francisco waterfront.

FolioLink stands out among the dizzying number of web hosting sites for their aesthetically beautiful and dynamic websites specifically geared to serve the needs of artists. I have been pleased with my ability to create a unique, complex and exceptionally well designed website with ease and speed. The design options are far ranging, allowing for originality. Yet, the logic of the design process is simple and user friendly. I have also enjoyed prompt technical support from a friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Foliolink offers professional quality sites with contemporary styles and great customer support! Website templates allow for significant customization while remaining user friendly. My website was up fast and I have complete control to change features anytime. Having this website has been invaluable to my business.
Chris first picked up a camera to document life and work in isolated areas of Canada's North. Places where immense, stark landscapes were highlighted by changing 24 hour light. Attempting to understand his place amidst the imposing natural forces soon drove his motivation to photograph. He became focused on the interactions between himself, others, animals, plants, climate, and land. Chris remains inspired by the organic forces in photography as he works on providing imagery for stock, wedding, and commercial clients. He currently lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada in one of the sunniest places in the country.

After years of developing custom web designs (and many hours of trying to get things right with programmers) we decided to try FolioLink. We found the designs of FolioLink to be very tasteful, attractive and well executed. We've found the staff to be accessable and helpful. We have no regrets for using their designs and have received numerous compliments on our new website.
Anthony is a photographer who truly enjoys exploring new ways of using light, color and metaphor to create interesting photographs. He is a first generation Italian-American who grew up surrounded by parents and relatives who shared an excitement about a promising future in their new world, and enjoyed working to make it so. Anthony's mother had a childlike curiosity and was ever doing new art and craft projects. His father had a happy outlook tied to a strong work ethic as a home builder. His parents' enthusiasm, their energy, their love of beauty and art, their general happiness, their desire to try something new and accomplish things all had a strong influence on Anthony's developing persona. At the Center for Creative Studies which is surrounded by the art culture of Detroit, Michigan, he was exposed to a rich and fulfilling education and an appreciation for the arts. As a new photographer, Anthony moved to Paris, where he gained confidence with the realization that being a visual person can have great worth. He has traveled throughout the U.S. and Europe on assignments. Wherever he goes, Anthony carries his camera and idea notebook with him. He is continually experimenting with lighting, props and backgrounds, and applies his discoveries to new projects.

After two months of frustration using a local web designer, I luckily found FolioLink. It had exactly what I was trying to create plus the flexibility to make changes easily. FolioLink is constantly improving and adding features which means they will always be fresh and new.
My imagination and dreaming have coaxed me to launch ONLYDREAMING studio. I build digital photo illustrations like storybook images without the story, not knowing what happened before or what happens next. The images I use are from photographs of my not-often-enough travels, objects around the house, and whatever catches my eye wherever I am. I work full time in the commerical sign industry. I have worked in California for a special effects company for the film and music industry in the important late 1960s, in Houston for a commerical photography lab and fine art silk screen printing company. I later owned my own silk-screen printing and etched glass business. Art and images are in my heart. As Edgar Allan Poe says it best - 'Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night'. Sweet dreams.

The main advantage of Foliolink is that the way to build your site is as easy as it can be, changing images within minutes making it possible to show my most recent jobs. Also, the enormous diversity in website designs is a big plus. In that way, I can always show my work in the best possible environment, not letting the website be the hero, but leaving that up to the photographs that are shown within it.
As I started 16 years ago as a photographers assistant, just leaving school, I immediately knew photography was what I wanted. I saw the diversity in subjects and the different ways of handling and using light/camera technique, both in studio and location, using them to create a unique personal style and atmosphere. After starting a studio in the centre of Amsterdam myself I always looked for this personal touch, never letting the camera be the leading instrument but always using it to make what I imagined the image should look like. In that way I shoot cars and stills with the same passion as people though I shoot mainly cars, both editorial, as well as, for the major ad agencies.

When it come to building web sites, I have gone through the whole spectrum of hiring web designers, designing and building my own, to what I now believe is the future for creative artist like me; the drag and drop. Once a year I would lock myself in my office for three weeks and labor over building a site. With FolioLink, I can create a custom looking site in a matter of hours. The number of design templates and creative options are unprecedented. Now the hardest part about building a web site come down to choosing my images.
The one thing that I have try to do as a commercial adverting photographer, is to present and promote myself first and foremost as an artist. I want the art director hiring me to get a sense that I am more interested in the process of creating a remarkable image than collecting a paycheck. I have little interest in the image associated with being a photographer, my passion lies in the image that can put in a frame and hung on the wall.

My experience with FolioLink could be described as meeting a new friend that wants to share all they have to improve your life. FolioLink assisted me with kindness and expertise, giving me all the control to design and update my site at anytime, anyplace ,which to me is everything I needed to make marketing myself effective.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Jeffrey G.Welcker is a self-trained photographer with an instinct for fashion and abstract landscape. The desert being the main focus of his new work, which depicts Arizona as a futuristic/contemporary world, deconstructing stereotypes of the West and the Arizona deserts. He is now working on a collection of galley prints for exhibits in Scottsdale, Arizona which will also be the works for a book on "the Desert Rocks". Most recent editorial was shot for Arizona Bride in the Arizona desert.

Before I chose FolioLink, I looked at other companies- including livebooks. But some of these companies quoted me similar services for 10 times the price of FolioLink. My experience with FolioLink has been very satisfying. Setting up the site was quick and easy. I can easily update my site and even change templates when I am on the road. Customer service is a very important factor for me and Foliolink has been great!

The folks at FolioLink are fantastic. From initial set-up of my site (I was talked thru it), to various maintenance issues, I think I have been helped by just about everyone. Everyone was always prompt, friendly, PATIENT, and immensely helpful. I highly recommend FolioLink to any artist who needs an excellent website.
I am an ex-Air Force officer who decided to engage his lifelong passion as an artist, completed a BFA Degree in 2003, from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and started painting like a man possessed. My interests are currently split between abstraction and figuration—so I’ve chosen to create two separate bodies of work. I share my studio with 2 other terrific artists and several poltergeists. The Monticello Gallery carries my abstract work in Fort Worth, Texas, and my diverse influences are Rembrandt, John Singer Sargent, and contemporary artists Odd Nerdrum, Dan McCaw, Antoni Tapies, and Vincent Desiderio.

FolioLink has been a valuable tool for me as a professional photographer, the ability to change it as often as I like and still maintain its professional appearance has been a great asset, but most of all It helps to represent me by enhancing and not distracting from my photography. Many people comment how great my work is and then they say wow amazing web design too. I have been able to channel both budding and established colleagues towards using FolioLink over other Web Service companies simply by my example. Its so easy to use and really no one else offers the diversity of Template styles that keep my site looking very personalized and unique with so little effort.

Foliolink has been a tremendous resource in promoting my art career. I was able to select a great looking template, upload my images and text and in a matter of a couple of hours I had an amazing and professional looking website. The entire system was clearly designed for visual learners like me, with easy to understand icons and procedures. Updating my website is a breeze - I log in, update my images, move images here and there and I am done. I am on my timetable, not that of my webmaster. Foliolink staff members are available by phone and are proactive about helping subscribers by recommending templates and the optimization of my jpegs. I receive compliments on my website regularly, and I recommend Foliolink to anyone who needs a website.
My art is a documentation of my interaction and observations of nature. I mimic nature, sometimes loosely and sometimes strictly, to reproduce specific plants, plant matter, natural objects and landscapes. During the creative process, I collage and paint different elements, images and ideas from my life to symbolize the external and the internal. Sometimes my objective is to represent a specific plant important during a passage in my life, other times it is to convey a feeling or memory of a place or landscape. My work combines storytelling, journaling and portraiture.

FolioLink has allowed me to design a website that is both dynamic and easy to maintain. My first website was done using one of the popular web design programs. It was done several years ago and served its purpose for the time. Updating it was quite difficult for me and after a while I stopped adding new content. I looked into having a website professionally done but the costs were too high. I discovered FolioLink while looking at another photographer’s website. I took advantage of the free trial and by the end of the trial period decided it was just what I was looking for. The cost for setup and hosting were reasonable and with all the templates available it was very easy for me to design a website I liked. I was able to create one that was both dynamic, through the use of Flash templates, and one, which was easy to update. The nice thing about FolioLink is the ability to update my site anytime I want regardless of where I am. I travel quite a lot so being able to easily update my site on the road was important to me. The other feature I like is the statistics that are available. They provide both the information about how well my site is doing and where my hits are coming from. Of all the options I looked at for creating and maintaining a website, FolioLink, by far, had the most to offer. I’m pleased I have chosen FolioLink for my website needs.
John Chakeres has been a photographer for more then 40 years. I needed to update my world window and a friend suggested Foliolink. As a beginner on the computer I was worried about all the applications and complications that might occur while building a website. I must say that it has been much easier than I imagined. I have been very happy with both the process, and even more so with the results. A thanks to my friend and certainly to Foliolink for the quality, esthetic values and the warm professional assistance, that they seem to be so well known for.
I am an American sculptor living in France, my medium is clay and glazes. My work reflects upon the fundamental issues affecting modern society and its choices today. Despite a humorous, candy like depiction the themes are quite serious. They have a narrative and symbolic quality, often treating universal issues, political events or natural tragedies. There are 3 axes to my work: portraits, stacking and piling and decorative ceramic pieces. I exhibit often in Paris.

I have been painting and exhibiting for 30 years. Foliolink gave me the means to establish exhibitions in New York and make connections to museums. While I lived New York City in the nineties I could get only one studio visit from a major gallery. After two years of courting one gallery, I handed my card to the owner last fall with the newly established website. The owner immediately went online to look at new work. After he made selections, I delivered the work to the gallery within a week. I have a show up now at Robert Steele Gallery in NYC through August 26, another planned for this year, and a major solo show in two years. I was greatly helped by your service.
Known for his monochromatic paintings of grids saturated in color, and lyrical paintings of vertical lines, the new intricately composed paintings of Pulse create a universe of both motion and emotion. Unpredictable twists and turns of bold lyrical ribbons pulsate with color and energy. The natural world and music have always impacted Moore’s inner world. The multi-layers of the paintings are as complex and intricate as a jazz improvisation. He earned his MFA degree in painting at Bard College, NY, and exhibits at Robert Steele Gallery in NYC, and Kidder Smith Gallery in Boston, MA

I designed and built my personal web site about 5 years ago but I ended up not updating it because of lack of time. A friend of mine mentioned FolioLink and after signing-up for the free trial I was convinced. The templates are simple and sophisticated. No FTP, no HTML, an easy to use interface that makes having a website the perfect promotional tool that can be updated in not time. Great product and great service.

Her colorful paintings and textural collages have been exhibited in Europe, Latin America and United States. “Just like a tree and her branches, Macaro is seeded in her solid Latin American root and she reaches out humane and geographical realities, diverse and afar. She lays her eyes upon daily life with the same amazement as looking into infinity. She translates socially charged themes into an exultation of colors and light. She analyzes the world. Lucidly. She embraces it. Affectionately. She caresses it. Colorfully. She lives in it. Consciously.” Raffaella De Lia

After an exhaustive search for a professional way to showcase our design studio’s portfolio, we found that Folio Link was the perfect solution to our online presence. Although both disciplines are under the umbrella of Graphic Design, creating artwork for apparel and creating a professional website are worlds apart. Our dilemma was that many of our clients don’t realize the difference. We found that a poorly built website reflected on our skill as a whole. Folio link was the answer. Their service provided well-built, beautifully designed site templates we could quickly utilize. They had just the right mix of customization options, stability, and backend support to help us quickly and easily communicate with our team and attract potential customers. Not to mention the absolutely incredible customer service team they have in place. From start to finish, we were ready to go ‘live’ in 3 days with the help of friendly, reliable, and knowledgeable support staff. We have been thrilled with the wonderful response to the site and the ever growing development Folio Link has undergone to further improve our experience over the years.

Creating my site through Foliolink was easy. The difficulty in deciding what work to display and how to organize it was not complicated by technical frustrations. The choices in color and layout are tasteful unlike many other sites, so that the finished product can really be what you want it to be.
I grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y on the same street that both of my parents were raised. My work as a result is deeply rooted in the place that I live and its relation to my family and identity. My work is also a result of my attraction to what gets unintentionally communicated in the mass produced, advertised elements of our culture. A seemingly innocuous symbol or object can always translate something greater when framed within the context of a photograph, and finding this as it is revealed in a photograph inspires me.

Working with Foliolink team was a wonderful experience. They really understood what my photo-based work is about. They worked with me to create a multimedia experience similar to my photo-based installations, while showcasing the photographs and maintaining the narrative context of my work.
Muriel explores the intricacies and emotional reverberations of identity through art, and uses photography and personal histories as the vehicles for exchange. Through an intergenerational, transnational, and transcultural lens, she crafts a language that expresses a shared humanity, while erasing the borders that maintain our "Otherness."

Our friend and photographer/architect Prakash Patel (www.prakashpatel.com) suggested that I consider setting up my website on FolioLink, and showed me how well-designed the system is and the variety of template choices and methods for adding images and text. Prior to seeing this, I had thought the task of designing my website would be daunting and expensive and would require the ongoing services of a website designer. FolioLink makes it simple and affordable for me to design and maintain my own website. It is very easy to learn and use, and it becomes part of the creative process by evolving with the work. FolioLink support is responsive, personable, and knowledgeable. I appreciate their experience and expertise, especially the suggestions from the FolioLink staff that helped me improve my site, both technically and visually. A compliment I recently received via email from someone who saw my FolioLink website: “Your web site is terrific, it is so dynamic. I went through your pictures over and over.”

A couple of months ago I started looking into changing my website. After researching tons of web templates and web design companies. I came across Foliolink. I was very impressed and excited with the variety of templates they offered. I quickly called and was equally happy to see how helpful they were to my every question regarding the template I preferred. The staff has been a great help and they have worked with me every step of the way.. THANK YOU !!
A universe of Visual imagery is my world. Born to Italian parents and immigrating to the United States, mastering English was a challenge. I used art as a form of communication, as a consequence fine art became a major part of my life. Eighteen years ago I ventured into a new realm of art known as Body painting. I used Body paint as an extension to my fine art. My body painting evolved. This has enabled me to cross boundaries, and introduced my interpretation of the living canvas ' Body painting’ to the world.

“My experience with FolioLink has been very positive and productive. Their team is helpful knowledgeable and responds quickly when I have questions or need to resolve a problem. In this world of many choices and complexity, I think one of the best things about having a FolioLink website is it’s ease of use, simple interface and quick-loading pages. Many clients and collectors of mine have commented on how easy it is to navigate and the crisp, clean design that highlights my work. I’d like to think that it is my paintings alone, that have been the reason for clients buying work through the site. But, in truth, the top-notch presentation of my FolioLink website, as part of an overall marketing plan, helps a great deal.” -Philip Frey
“Philip Frey’s sophisticated paintings and accomplishments reflect a burgeoning career. In his portrayal of Maine coastal life, Frey’s colors often capture a boldness that reminds us of the capacity of light to call one into an atmosphere of cool awakening. A signature Frey landscape stands out for its use of dynamic brushstrokes and luminosity. In all of them, there is poised use of shape, a delight in the sheer patterning and lighting of objects, and an overall visual harmony and joy. He exhibits in several distinguished galleries as far south as Virginia and his work is collected here and abroad. Mr. Frey is an artist whose career is in rapid ascendancy and is one that bears close watching over the decade to come.” - As excerpted from The Firehouse Gallery biography.

I was asked to submit work to a gallery that was considering me for representation. I didn't want to submit slides. I had heard of FolioLink from a friend who had built her website with them and I checked it out. I was amazed at how simply and quickly I was able to choose a template, join as a member and build a working website, and a very presentable one, in just a few hours. By the next day I was ready to send the link to my new site to the gallery and I was able to secure representation, because my FolioLink website made viewing my resume, images, and statement so streamlined and professional. I really am pleased with the results. It is very easy to update the site and I have already added image pages, changed things, and added text pages without any difficulty. It looks great.
My drawings and paintings straddle the border between reality and dream, past life and present. I primarily do very detailed, obsessive colored pencil drawings on rice paper, which are cut out, sewn into, and then embedded into vibrantly colored encaustic paintings (pigmented wax and resin painted with the use of a heated palette). I also do intricate silverpoint drawings on gessoed paper. I have shown in many group and solo shows around the United States and have my work in the collections of several museums, the Montclair Art Museum, the Brodsky Center for Innovative Print and Paper, and the Newark Museum's Library Print Collection among them. I am currently represented by Tag Gallery in Nashville, TN, Henry Boxer Gallery in London, UK, Judy Saslow Gallery, Chicago, IL, and Van Brunt Gallery in Beacon, NY.

In brief, Foliolink has been a godsend. After years working as a computer game artist, learning many different software tools, it has been a joy to relinquish my technical expertise to the experts. Because I use Foliolink for my website, I no longer have to stay abreast of the latest changes in website or internet technology. In my experience, Foliolink has been a responsive and well informed institution. I can always rely on their staff to assist me quickly and efficiently, thereby allowing me to focus on what I love…..creating art.
Above all things I am a painter. I have been college educated and raised by artist parents. I have worked as a commercial and fine artist for others. Today I am my own artist who covets artwork that inspires. If a painting tells me a story or hints at a story which leaves the conclusion up to me, I am enrapt. I am devoted to artwork painted with attention to detail and savor traditional art making processes. As a collector this is what I look for in other artists’ work. As a painter this is the standard I create by.

How easy is this to use? I had my photographic portfolio up and running within a couple or hours , and I can add and delete images with ease even when out on assignment. I can change the entire look and feel of the site with the click of a mouse . I'm continually asked by clients and fellow photographers who built my website. Just last week I had a call from a potential new client. I was able to quickly load up a potfolio suiting his style requirement in under 15 minutes before calling him and directing him to my site. Thanks Foliolink for a easy to use but feature packed, professional website. Grant Turner / Mediakoo Photography

What I love about FolioLink is the independence that I have to update and change my website whenever I feel like it – no waiting for busy designers or programmers to get the work done. Creating my site was fast and easy and I have had many compliments on how polished and professional it looks.

I was introduced to FolioLink by my friend and fellow photographer, Keith Jochim. From the outset, the crew were, to a person, not only helpful, but enthusiastic about getting my site up to speed and achieving a look that would satisfy me. Their responses have always been very prompt, detailed and personal, regardless of the topic in question. At no time have I felt that I am communicating with an organisation. I have always felt like I am dealing with dedicated, knowledgeable and interested individuals. And they are good fun to work with! I am getting excellent information on visitors to my site as well as excellent reactions to my work. I cannot recommend FolioLink more highly and I am very pleased to be a member of the FolioLink network.
For me, image-making involves the same challenge as that which is demanded by poetry: look, look harder, distil, seek out the play of lightness within darkness, the ambiguity that hovers behind description, and set down something that just might be able to evoke an emotional or psychological connection. It is my goal to ask questions in a voice that does not shout, and I hope that the relationship between my images and the viewer might be like a conversation that two people not well known to each other might engage in late at night – a kind of sotto voce exchange in which the participants are inclined to lean toward one another, quieten down, listen carefully.

Foliolink has been a wonderful and nurturing companion on my journey in art thus far. Every artist should have one - a friend that supports and urges you through difficult terrain to your distant goals.
My art practice has always been based on the wonder of the abstract codification of pure thought we call mathematics. I am motivated by the aesthetics of elegant mathematics now in my art as I was as a mathematician in my past. On the other hand I nurture a skeptical viewpoint on the role mathematics play as the inevitable language of choice of science and itsprevalence in our lives. My art practice lies within this dialectic. Rajinder was selected as one of 20 artists to represent Asia in 2007 and he has been exhibited throughout the world.

Foliolink artisans designed a template for me that allowed me to feature both my book, Make Your Mark, and my art work in a clear way. Many visitors to the website have told me that it is the nicest, most easily navigable site they have seen that features an artist's work. Upkeep of the site (adding portfolio pieces and text as regards workshops, shows and appearances) is easy for me to do myself, but when I have called with questions, no one on the staff has ever been anything but unruffled and gracious at all times. I feel very well represented. Thanks Foliolink!

It was so great! I was having dinner watching the beautiful sunset of Lake Tahoe when a gentleman overheard me talking about being a painter. I mentioned that he could see my work on http://meredithniles.com. He stopped by my studio and purchased one of my favorite paintings. I can truly say it was because of my Foliolink website that this painting sold and I only had the site for a few months. I am very pleased with the service!!
“My intention in the paintings is to create a sense of calm, ironically using the boldest colors and shapes. I want the viewer to remove themselves from their hectic lives and momentarily contemplate the quiet tradition of still life in the context of architecturally bold environments. I first combined silver and pinecones eliciting thoughts of one’s city life with one’s weekends at play in the woods. I then became intrigued with the beauty of fruit and their reflections as the light comes through the window of my home. Living in Tahoe, the amazing landscape is now directing my attention outdoors.”

I love the simplicity and ease of use that Foliolink gives me. I had a custom designed flash site before and just wasn’t happy with the fact that I needed the help of a web designer every time I wanted to make a change. Now I can update my portfolios in a matter of minutes. I always get great feedback on my website and people never believe that it is template-based. Foliolink Websites have a sleek design and best of all, they load quickly which I find a very important feature. I also love the iPhone compatibility.
After studying photography in Germany I decided to venture out overseas and have never looked back since. I live and work in New York City which never fails to inspire me and gives me that creative energy that is hard to match anywhere else. What I love about photography is that I get to document and be part of a moment in someone’s life. It gives me a personal and up-close connection with people that I wouldn’t normally get without the camera in front of me. I feel most passionate about travel photography because it combines what I love to capture – spaces, places and people.

My Folio Link website is a great way for me to stay connected with my collectors. I love that I can easily change and update its look and content to fit my current project. The design and functionality of the tool is high quality yet simple enough for a total beginner. I have received great customer support and reliable service. Because of Folio link, my work looks good online and people notice. My website is a very important aspect of my business, and I would not want to be with out it.

I was originally drawn to Foliolink because I liked the sharp, professional look of their sample websites for artists. I had been looking for an easy-to-use system that would allow me to design and maintain my own site without costing an arm and a leg. Foliolink provided me with everything I had been looking for. I was able to create my basic site and upload my artwork within a couple of hours, and I was up and running with a fully functional website by the end of the day. People have complimented me on my site, assuming that it was created by professionals. I am happy to refer them to Foliolink, knowing that they will be as thrilled with the results as I am!!
Heidi Lewis Coleman is a Connecticut artist, but she was born and raised in Yakima, a small farming town in Central Washington State. The colors of the countryside were rich and warm and translated into the same earthy palette that the artist uses to create her vibrant paintings. Yakima was named for one of the Indian tribes which has long populated its valley. The weavings and basketry of the Northwest tribes became a source of inspiration for the artist and have influenced the primitive style of her abstract work. Coleman studied art at Parsons and the New York School of Design. She has exhibited in Connecticut, Washington, Florida and New York City.

I have been completely happy with the foliolink service, and especially impressed every time I have had a question to resolve. It’s always easy to reach a real (and smart) person on the phone, and they are clearly interested in helping to figure out solutions. It feels like I have a partner on the other side of the computer labyrinth.
“Pleasure and accidents both play a strong role in the work I do. Accidents are sometimes the starting point; a spill or crack or an unintended line, a way of the medium speaking up for itself. Pleasure is often what leads me on along the path. Pleasure does not necessarily mean comfort; the unexpected turn, the edge of an abyss, the odd bodily feeling that I recognize without knowing its name is pleasurable to me. I’m trying to feel my way sensually without having to decide what it means ahead of time.” Christy Hengst lives and works in Santa Fe.

It seems you are behind the times if you are an artist and don’t have a web presence. FolioLink is a completely painless way to upload a portfolio. The FolioLink staff is genuinely helpful and quick to respond – there’s no “hurry up and get in line” for questions. The templates are easy to use, graphically “clean” and quite flexible. The end result: a no-hassle, user-friendly, easily updateable, easily navigable, professional website.
Photographers, professors, and converts to the potential of pixels, Rebecca Clark and Dan Long met at R.I.S.D. in 1986 and were married in 1990. They have two sons that are the subject of Dan’s current project, Boys’ Life, a series of whimsical, narrative portraits that explore childhood, real and imagined, fusing fact and fiction, the ordinary and the unusual. The boys are also featured in Rebecca’s fanciful Unnatural History, a series of cyanotype collages that incorporate 19th century natural history illustrations, fusing the past and the present, digital technology with an antique, hand-applied emulsion.
